In this role you will provide leadership and a hands on approach to problem-solving to ensure customers are fully satisfied with the company's service.
The Quality Coordinator will report to the Quality Manager and maintain the quality system within the Pell City Center.

Responsibilities:
Quality Compliance Conduct monthly Quality Circle Meetings to help find and resolve quality issues through root cause analysis and problem-solving processes (PSP) and help with continuous improvement activities Conduct quality audits as prescribed by the local quality registration (ISO9001) Participate in the disposition of non-conforming product as required, including communication with customers regarding Quality issues and Complaints Facilitate local quality-planning and development of work instructions for customer-specific requirements.
Perform technical quality checks on customer products using, spectrometer, portable and stationary hardness testing equipment and microscopes.
Provide training and support to employees on all quality concerns and customer complaints Cross-train into various departments within the production facility Create credit memos, handling invoicing of consumables, order and receive supplies 5s audits and drive 5s initiatives HSE Compliance Monitor required safety checks thru daily walk throughs, verification of PCC's, HMIS labels, emergency stations and first aid kit.
Review and train employees on Emergency Evacuation Plan Complete hazardous waste storage checklist (SQG and LQG) Complete annual chemical inventory Check LOTO program.
If all tags are filled correct and program been followed according to the LOTO definition in center Review/Update SDS sheets and maintain OSHA Log Perform HSE audit and review Yearly Risk assessment including JRA's and EAP's Update HSE communication board and action items for Risk Assessment Operations Support Support incoming and outgoing inspection areas when needed Complete daily production meeting minutes Facilitate daily standup safety meeting Support Customer service activity as needed Your Profile:
Minimum Associates Degree preferably in Quality, Material Science or related discipline 2
years of experience in a quality or materials science within a manufacturing and/or production environment 1
year of experience implementing and executing ISO 9001:
2015 standard is preferred Action oriented individual who drives results Strong, self-motivated, independent thinker Experience using MS Office (i.
e.
, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access) is required Ability to effectively use of problem-solving tools such as Pareto charts, run and control charts, cause and effect diagrams as well as 8D (or a similar problem solving discipline) Physical Ability:
