Sales Engineer - Precast Shapes (Southeastern US Region)
Must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience in Sales, Engineering or other related field. Minimum of 5 years experience required. Must have an ability to read and understand prints as well as calculate volumes. Must demonstrate good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Must have good organizational skills and have ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to travel approximately 25% of the time. Must possess or obtain all required licenses and keep them current.
Essential Functions:
Work closely and travel with Allied Sales Representatives, Distributors, and OEM's (Southeastern US region).
Obtain competitive information; such as prices, product information, samples, designs, etc., so that you may utilize this information to increase sales.
Service accounts as needed, including installation, trouble-shooting, complaints, etc.
Assist in the design and perform quotations as necessary for new or existing opportunities.
Send in brief call reports on each call made, including company name; city and state; date call was made; persons interviewed; topics discussed; present status; any changes in potential, personnel, products used, etc.
Call reports for new accounts should include the following: company name; complete address, including zip code, phone number, and area code; personnel and titles; number, size, and types of furnaces; metals melted; maximum temperatures; furnace cycles; refractories used; life in number of tons, heats, and weeks; price of refractories; potential in pounds and dollars for each type of refractory; type of failure; etc.
Keep management updated on all competitive activity in sales areas.
Keep records, files, and call book current and in an orderly fashion.
Use proper discretion in selling trials, reporting all pertinent information on the proposed trial and the final results of the trial. All trials are subject to review before acceptance.
Responsible for forecasting by customer and product line when asked to do so.
Keep management updated on all new product opportunities and applications.
Set goals and targets within territory each year and attempt to meet them.
Live within budget.
Other Duties:
Work safely and correctly at all times. Follow all health and safety rules, laws, and regulations.
Follow all company rules and regulations.
Administer and comply with EEOC, ADA, local, state, federal laws and regulations.



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
